I couldn't think of anything to post about today. So I'm taking Grace's advice and trying out "Plinky" which I guess asks you random questions. Here we go!

What movie always makes you cry? (or at least makes you emotional)

To tell you the truth, I have never cried in a movie or book. I can't. for real. I cannot cry even if I want to bawl my eyes out. I just can't, and I don't know why. buttttt.... my answer is-

Yup, Phantom of the Opera. I love this movie, and it always makes me sad. Why? because the stupid girl should have chosen the Phantom! he's so much more awesome! (and wayyyy better looking) for sure. I feel so bad for him. I also laugh a lot over this movie. yup. it has so many holes in it, but whatev, it's one of my favs! :)

So, a few things I left out about my trip.
1) I sadly did not make it to any yarn stores :(  I didn't even make it to a gift shop! no post cards, overpriced trinkets that'll end up in the garbage anyway, nothing. I was very sad that I missed both of these shopping experiences. but, we did go to Target one day to get Abbie stuff, and guess what I bought? SHOES! and they're soooo cute! (but i got gold, not purple)

2)For my knitting projects I finished "Silverbell.". Well, almost. I just have to finish up the sleeves and the edge, but that shouldn't take to long. I didn't get too far on the dress. I finished the bodice (and it fits!) and got about 3 in. of the skirt done, but I got the hang of the pattern and it shouldn't be to hard to finish.

3) Mary-Kate and I learned that we would be the perfect room mates. 'Cause we're good friends, but we get along in a way that we could live together. if that makes sense...

yup, i think that's about it. Hopefully I'll come up with something interesting to write soon, and then I can stop boring you all about Florida haha!

And so I am back... and I miss Florida. a lot.
we had a blast.
but I'm also really glad to be home, with my own bed, and shower, and computer. :)

We left early Sunday morning and drove all day. That was the only day with traffic, but we got lots of it. not cool. Lydia was super annoying, which sounds mean of me, but she was. Mary-Kate and me were in very good moods though and kept everyone's spirits alive. We made it to the Martins at 8 and had a very nice time with them.
Monday we drove more. We stayed in Savannah, Georgia that night, and it was SO much fun. it's a beautiful town (we stayed in the historical side of it) and we had lots of fun :)
Tuesday, we drove some more. and made it to Florida! We stayed that night with some relatives of ours which was fun!
Wednesday- move in day! We had lots of fun and got to meet Abbies room mate and suite mates. By the end of the day though MK and I were really bored, so guess what we did? People watched! it was soooo much fun, and it made us laugh a lot, but it really annoyed Abbie haha! oh well.... That night she stayed there and we went to the Reese's grandparents house. The Reese's (not like the candy) are some old friends of ours and their oldest daughter, Caroline, is also going to Palm Beach Atlantic. We haven't really seen them in years though, so I didn't know them that well, but now we're pretty much best friends haha! they're awesome.
So yeah, we stayed at their grandparents house for the rest of the week. and get this, the grandparents names are SheShe and Chuck. how awesome is that? and they are pretty much the best grandparents out there! I love 'em! and they have an amazing house, it was so nice of them to let us stay!

Thursday- Mom and Mrs.Reese went back to the school and helped the girls some more with shopping for their rooms, and other last little move in things. SheShe took us girls, (Lydia, Mk, Kathrine [the youngest Reese, she's 11 and sooo cool!] and me) shopping at the mall. it was fun :)

Friday was probably the best day of all though. Caroline and Abbie came back to the house and we all got on Chucks sweet boat and went sailing all afternoon. it was so relaxing and tons of fun! We then came home and had a lovely dinner, then went back to PBA and said goodbye to the girls. very sad.... :(

The next two days were spent driving. Mr.Reese and Dale (he's a year younger then me and pretty awesome) took our big van loaded with furniture of theirs, and all us girls went in the Reese's car. it was lots more fun riding back with friends, but it was still a long drive. And this time we did it in two days instead of three.

So yeah, that's pretty much the week, although i left out a lot. But i'm really tired. and if i told you allll about it  this post would be miles long. and i doubt any of you would read it. so yeah. just ask me about it. the point is i had so much fun and i'm sad to be home. but i can't wait to see all my awesome friends cuz i miss em lots.

One last post... until next week :)

"Friends. A simple word isn't it? It's uttered everyday to almost every person imaginable. Who are your friends? I used to think that friends were the people that you could laugh and talk to. Now I know that friends aren't that, they're the people that touch your heart. You could spend hours with them doing nothing at all and it can be the best time of your life, just because it was with them. They're the people you can share your secrets with, cry with, laugh with, and just have fun with. They don't judge you, or make you change. They accept you exactly as you are. They look at you and see a great person, one they love spending time with. You all share something in common and are tied together with memories, tears, laughs and smiles. You're tied together by love for each other. Friendship is the strongest but greatest thing in the world. I feel my time with my friends is the best time of my life. My friends are my heart, my soul, my fun, my laughter, tears, love, and my life."  -Unknown

I love this quote. Because it's so true. God has given me some really amazing friends and I love them a lot. He's also given me an amazing family, and I can never thank Him enough for that.

Happy birthday to my amazing little sis Gracie! She is now a teenager! woohoo! She's probably one of my top five favorite sisters (heehee! :p) But yeah, she's pretty awesome and I LOVE YOU GRACE!! <3

Tomorrow is the big day!! We're hoping to be out of the house by 8ish, which means getting up realllly early. too early.  But it's so gonna be worth it! First stop- the Backus' house, to drop Grace and Mercy off (they'll be staying there the week) and to pick Mary-Kate up! Second stop- IKEA!? I think that's what mom said.... don't know if it's true. Third stop- bathroom break. Fourth stop- bathroom break. Fifth stop- bathroo- ok yeah, you get the idea. We'll be arriving in Richmond, Virgina around dinner time, hopefully. And we'll be staying at the Martins! yayaya! (in a earlier post I said they lived in Georgia for some reason. that's wrong. they don't really haha!)

So yeah, that is how tomorrow shall go. We hope. :)

So goodbye people. I'm sure I'll have internet down there, but I may not post. (we'll see just how attached I am to this blog heehee!)
Hopefully I'll have lots of pictures and stories to share when I get back.

Toodles! <3

I will rejoice and be glad in it

Ahhh! I have SO many things to be excited for right now! I think it's mostly the weather that's making me this excited because whenever it's this amazing out I get excited and happy about EVERYTHING!
But I really do have a lot to be thankful for and excited about. Like Florida!!! I can't wait! we're going to have a blast! Also, I'm on the 5th, (and last!) square! yay! I also lovelovelove the color I got.

It makes me think of lemonade :)  (and lemonade always makes me think of dollar stores, Robin Hood, and air bands hahahah! good times)

Another thing I have to be excited for- SCHOOL!!!!!  I love starting school. by the end of the year I hate it, but the beginning is so much fun! Also going and buying all the school materials is lots of fun too :)
Then there is also Fall, which is one of my favorite seasons! (Spring, Summer and Fall are all my favorite seasons actually haha! I hate winter though... well, most of the time)

Getting my own room! Can't wait for that either!
Re-doing/painting almost all the rooms in our house this fall. I lovelove painting and can't wait to get started.
Another thing, when we get back from Florida I can FINALLY organize the girls room! woot! Abbie is the 2nd messiest child in our family (Malachi being the first) and I'm one of the neatest, so I am so glad she's finally going to be gone because then I'll be able to actually have a non messy room! woohoo! (although I guess I'll miss her a little... but only a VERY little :p )

I'm also excited for my new knitting project! Don't know what it's gonna be yet, but once  I finish "Silverbell" and the dress I can start something new. I have a few ideas, I just don't know which yet. I'll prolly put pictures of them all up and let you guys vote :)

Umm.... So yeah! I'm super excited today! And I hope you all are to because-
"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!" (Ps.118:24)

Road trip.. here I come!

I'm DONE with the forth square!!! yayayayaya! you have no idea how happy this makes me. Now i just need to get yarn for the last one, and then I'll be all the way done woohoo!

Here's a picture of them getting blocked. This is actually the first time I have ever blocked something by pinning it. Usually my kind of blocking involves plastic wrap and dictionaries. don't ask.

So I started packing for Florida today, yay! I'm soooo excited! If you don't know yet, me, my Mom, Lydia (my 6-year-old sister), Abbie, and our friend Mary-Kate, are taking a road trip down to Florida to drop Abbie off at college. It's gonna be pretty shweet :)
But seeing that it's about a 24 hour drive, (or something like that) of course I'm bringing TONS of knitting! (and crochting) We're taking the way there in 3 days (I think that's right) and the way back in 2. lots of driving. But! we get to see the Martins!! (a family friend who moved to Virgina  this summer, I miss them). That makes me very happy though! :)
But anyway, I'm sure you're just dying to hear what knitting and crocheting projects I'm bringing.
I'm bringing "Silverbell" (see two posts down) and hopefully I'll be finishing that. And I'm also bringing-

tada! a dress! I'm so excited to make this! I actually started it, but the size I did it ended up being wayyyy to big, so I had to tear it out and go down a few sizes.

So yes, those will be my projects for the car :)
Hopefully (crosses fingers) we'll be able to stop at at least one yarn store. hopefully. we'll see.

Don't Say Goodbye

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Zbjv_WNBk

Every time I have to say goodbye to someone I think of this song. (It's my favorite Skillet song off that CD) And this is the time of year when you have to say lots of goodbyes. Many of my friends, (including three siblings) are leaving for college. Yeah, sure, they'll be home for breaks and in the summer, it's not like I'm never going to see them again. But it's still hard. You're here, they're there. And it makes me sad.... :'(
So, to all you wonderful people who are leaving us, I wish you the best of luck, not that that's going to do anything because there is no such thing as luck, but you get my point ;)   But seriously, we love you and you're gonna be missed a lot.

knitting+beach= amazing

yup, you heard (er... read) me right. Knitting on the beach is amazing. As you can guess, we went to the beach today, and it was a lot of fun. But yeah, I brought my knitting with me and I actually got a lot done :)

Right now I'm doing two projects. the first one I hate and can't wait to be done with. I'm making these squares for a blanket. The blanket is for my boss, and all the ladies at our store are making 5, so I have to make 5. So far I have 3 down, and I really want to finish the other 2 this week.

Here they are! they need to be blocked still, so hopefully they'll be a little more square haha! but yeah, they're done on double point needles, size 2, and knitted in the round, with sock yarn. (if you're a knitter, you'll understand just how horrible that all is) grr! i just want to shoot myself! but only two left! i'll make it!
The other project I have is---

"Silverbell" is the patterns name, but I named mine "Victoria Rose"

Here's the leaf part on mine. I got way farther then that, but this is the latest picture I have. I actually made it really far, but then I had to tear it all out and restart, but now I'm back on track! And hopefully no mistakes this time!
So yes, that is were I am knitwise.
  Thanks for reading!

Temporary Home...

"This is our temporary home.
It's not where we belong.
Windows and rooms that we're passin' through.
This is just a stop, on the way to where we're going.
I'm not afraid because I know this is our
Temporary Home."
-Carrie Underwood

This is a great song. One of my favorite off that CD. But every time I hear it, it reminds me that this is just our temporary home. We think our lives are so important. We'll do almost anything just to live longer. Have good health, stay in shape, not get cancer, and so on. Yet in God's eyes, our life is just a blink of the eye. Lately I've been realizing how very fast this life is, and I've been comparing it to eternity. It's pretty scary if you actually stop to think about it. I mean, we're gonna be in heaven forever? What the heck are we gonna do all that time!? I personally can't comprehend that, and if you can, please try to explain it to me haha! But back to my point... .I think we tend to get to caught up in this world. We often think "oh yeah, I'd die for God, I want to go to heaven as soon as possible." but then we also tend to add "just let me (fill in the blank) first, and then I'll really be ready"
Now I have a lot of life goals. like go sky diving, get married, go all over the world, live in the Dominican for a year, and many more. Most of these goals are really good, and most people would say "look at what she's doing for God!" But, if God asked me to go to heaven tomorrow, would I be willing to give up this life right away? or would I ask Him for a little bit more time, so that I can do all the things I want?
So that's my question for you. Do you know this is just your temporary home, or are you trying to make it your permanent home?

So this is the awesome person I got to meet today! along with the rest of her amazing family! Yup, them Sapps are pretty shweet. Sadly I only got to be with them for like.... 20 minutes maybe? They came to visit me at work, because, like myself, Grace and her Mom are both knitters. So of course they had to come get yarn. It was fun being able to show them around the store, especially seeing that now I know where most of the yarns are! yay!
But yeah, they scared the crap out of me when they came in. I hadn't heard them come in, so I turned around and who's there but Grace?! It was awesome haha!
For those of you who don't know the Sapps, they are a family that some of my friends met online. (if any of these facts are wrong, please correct me) I guess they met them during an online class, and from there they became best friends. pretty much. Just a few months ago I 'met' Grace and Joey in a group chat. When I learned Grace was a knitter I was pretty happy. of course we started talking about knitting and from there it went to yarn, to jewelry, to shoes, to music and so on. When I heard she was coming, I of course wanted to meet her and show her my store. So, that brings us to this morning, when I met her! I'm sorry to say that I didn't get to know Joey quite as well, and I guess we're gonna have to fix that, cuz he's pretty awesome :) (he was the one who took the picture, so thanks Joey!)
Anyway, this is way longer then I meant it to be, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
thanks for reading!

Why Even Bother?

This is the question you are probably asking yourself right now. "Why does Hannah even bother trying to be cool and have a blog? Isn't she cool enough as it is?" Or, maybe you're thinking, "ha! yeah, have fun with this. It's going to fail within the next few months." If you are thinking that, well, you're probably right. I can't really see myself actually keeping up with this. I don't have a camera first of all, and a blog without pictures is pretty lame I think. I also am trying to get into the habit of not spending as much time on the computer, and this isn't helping haha! Butttttt...... I made a deal with a friend (no names *cough*) that if he...er, they, came up with a name for my blog, I would try it out. So here I am! Making my first post as to why I'm attempting this. (So yeah, if you don't like the name, don't blame it on me. Personally, I think it's pretty awesome)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it while it last. I don't really know what the heck I'll be posting about... but I guess we'll find out haha!
